Hey any help would be aprreciated asap.

Have the motors sitting in the garage and the vacuum fittings are a little different on the valve covers between the two motors. Do I have to swap the 96 covers on to the 04?

Also another question. Do I have to swap the return fuel injection rails from the 96 to the 04 or will the 04 return system work?

And one more question? What wiring harness should be used ? The 96 or the 04 harness?

All question are due to my buddy thinking we needs to hybrid the sh!t out of this motor which I do not want to do.

Yes swap your 96's over.

IF your car is Return style which being a 96 it would be, you have to use it unless you want to swap a whole bunch of other stuff to try and make it work.

the motor is going in the 96, make the motor work for the 96.... (dont forget about your other coolant sensor, the 04 motor wont have it in the cross over that you need)

YOu really wont have to, some electrical connectors may be different but for the most part, make the 04 work wih the 96 hardware and fuel system.

Goodluck

Thanks guys, I actually have a 75mm accufab going on for manifold.

We drilled and tapped for the second coolant sensor on the crossover already.

We also found a way to make the 04 valve covers work.

I have a 04 PI motor in my car and it still has the 04 valve covers on it, why would you swap them? My car runs great.

Use your injectors and fuel rail, either valve covers, rig up ps reservoir bracket, coil brackets, or use your timing cover. Tap for second coolant sensor, swap the pan if your car has a low oil light or jump the connector. Use your wiring harness.
