1.7 Rockers and Spring Upgrade Stock Intake and Stock Cam

1994 Mustang GT mostly stock with a Cold Air intake and Exhaust. I will be getting a set of gears and probably a cam down the road. I have taken the car to the track a couple times and noticed the car runs good now that I have cleaned MAF. This is a third car that I use to tinker with and use as weekend drag car. With money always being tight and looking for something to do throughout the week. Looking to pickup some extra hp and slowly build my car. With a cam/intake in the future springs and rocker will go in as well. Wondering if pulled the valve covers and pulled the rocker and upgraded them to 1.7 and some better springs if I would pickup any extra hp. Also thinking getting a 1/2 spacer and underdrive pulleys. Wondering if the 1/2 spacer will fit under the hood and stock strut tower brace. I looked at the gap between the brace intake there looks to be plenty of room for a 1/2 spacer maybe a 3/8 spacer. Trying to keep from loosing the stock brace

Unless you just want the sound of the cam its really not going to do you much good as long as you have the stock heads on there.

you'd be better off swapping the stock heads for GT40 heads and leaving the stock cam.
