Hi Everybody, Up for sale here is the original 5.8 LITER COBRA intake manifold from my 1995 Mustang Cobra R. This auction includes both the upper and lower halves. I will not sell the upper or lower half individually. Both pieces have been through the Extrude Hone process twice. Yes that's right, both pieces were put through the process twice, so they are matched to each other. The Extrude Hone process forces an abrasive paste through the pieces in the same direction and path as the airflow. This enlarges the runners inside, removing any casting flash and the original rough cast surface, making the runners larger and very smooth inside, enabling laminar airflow. Extrude Honing is expensive on pieces like these because there's a large internal volume and the abrasive paste is not reusable, it's one and done. Twice in this case. Compared to an original '95 Cobra R intake this thing flows like gangbusters, but, it still wasn't enough. I needed my aluminum 429 CID 351W to really be able to breath, so I eventually gave up on using the factory EFI and went with a single plane intake. This Cobra R intake has sat in a box in storage for too long. I know I'll never put it back on my car, so it's time for it to go. You will get the best results with your engine if you perform some port matching of this lower to your cylinder heads. $3,000 OBO (the extrude honing itself cost me almost $1,000 15 years ago). Don't think it's worth that much? There's an upper half only on eBay listed for $3,999. These uppers and lowers are both made of unobtainium. I also have the original 24lb injectors and the original 351W Cobra R fuel rails with an adjustable regulator. I also have a few more pictures of everything. I'm open to offers and open to making a package deal. Ask any questions. I may also put these on eBay. Thanks for looking. Keep the shiny side up, CobraRGuy
