Ok, I have used this forum for reference for years and thanks to everyone that post on here it is a valuable resource! Here is my issue.... I have a 1995 GT, somewhere along the way someone put a complete 97 Explorer engine that supposedly has the E303 cam and some head work done to it. The issue is that they hacked the wiring pretty bad. Looks like they modified the stock harness to fit the Explorer stuff and spliced wires in all sorts of different spots. All in all things still work but it is annoying. I purchased Moates QH, BE and EEC analyzer to start learning how to tune it and after installing the chip, I turn the ignition on and get a buzzing (fuel pump running?). Anyways the car started to act like it was going to start but wouldn't. Next thing I know the battery acts like it is run down. I put a charger on it and got it charged to 100%. Get back in the car to start it, it cranks a few times then everything goes dead. Now I have absolutely no power. I checked the battery, cleaned the connections, verified all the fuses were good and still nothing. The dome lights, ignition, headlights, etc do not work. I got under the car and completely removed the battery harness to check it out, I read somewhere that there were fusable links in there somewhere close to the starter. That and the O2 sensor wires had been sliced, the small wire on the solenoid was loosely held together by a barrel connector (really), not very impressed with the wiring skills of the previous owner at all! I plan on repairing and soldering in the broken/spliced wires on this harness and the fuel injector harness since that is where the O2 wires were spliced into. Hopefully this will resolve the issue and I can get back to playing with the QH and BE :-) Anyone else have this happen, dead electrical? Would a fried ECU do this (I hope not, don't know how that could happen just connecting to it with the laptop)? Anyways, thanks in advance! Steve
