I'm brand new to the forum although have alot of knowledge as im sure all of you do about mustangs . I personally do not like Electronic Fuel Injection or the V6 but did not want to sell the car and do what most people suggest of buying a GT wheres the experience in that ! So I looked around and found a 302 block that was in good shape and started a little research , this question gets asked more than any question in the world LOL " Can you really put a 302 Carb in a 99-04 " Of course ! With enough duct tape and welding anythins possible LOL JK . After waiting for the motor and crank to come back from the machine shop , I redid the heads myself and awaited it to do the rebuild myself . Got the motor back rebuilt it . Bored 40 over makes it a 308 most proble know this same bore size as a 350 chevy . Sticking with the AODE transmission and Stock V6 K member . ( YES I SAID I DID NOT CHANGE K MEMBER ) You can use 89 Foxbody GT mounts or you can take 94-95 GT mounts and turn the passenger side one around backwards ( take keeper out drill hole through and put bolt and nut to secure ) falls right into place (THIS CANNOT BE DONE WITH A 4.6 OR GT CAR K MEMBER IS DIFFERENT ) After fitting motor in basic assembly started and of course I am going carbed you can actually see a change rather than doing a tune that you cannot see any change ? I would rather turn a screw and know something actually happened than just trust electronics ( JMO ) Carbs will and can run just as good if not better than EFI and cheaper . After getting all this done I of course done my own head work and got a set of GT40P heads ( SUMMIT SELLS P HEADERS FOR 95 FITS CHASSIS PERFECT) put in double springs and hardened seals and full roller rockers . For the Fuel system I made a fuel cell frame and cut the spare tire well out and mounted a new 15 gallon fuel cell very clean looking ! . Ran Return System 8AN steel braided into a Holley Blue pump into a Mallory 4309 Regulator . For ignition I am using a MSD 6AL with pro billet dizzy and blaster 2 and msd wires *(Also on ignition for the starter there is one wire that is hot while cranking over engine have to find it on big plug under hood and splice into and run a relay to starter) . Starter i am running a Mini starter ( you can use stock v6 one theres no difference ) and to turn fan on am using a fan relay controller that is adjustable . For the pulleys easiest route is a march performance kit i removed all AC LINES AND STOCK FUEL LINES ( NEED special disconnect tool 10 bucks ) also polished billet alluminum looks great ! but comes with a price lol . First startup will be this weekend

I personally do not like Electronic Fuel Injection or the V6 but did not want to sell the car and do what most people suggest of buying a GT wheres the experience in that !
