i found a sequential light kit for a 2001 cobra but the plugs between the car and the new tail lights don't match -- anyone know of a source for a blank male plug for the cobra side -- bottom in the picture -- i don't want to cut off the OEM male plug -- there are 4 wires going to the tail lights -- 5 wires coming from the car -- have schematics for a 2001 cobra enroute from ebay -- is it just not a matter of matching wires -- --what am i missing ??

Ideally you need a pigtail to plug into the factory side but that may be difficult to source, I'd recommend TAPPING into the harness carefully using wire taps the clamp trailer wire type or cut and leave a good amount of wire on the factory harness so you can properly reinstall it with solder or some nice heat gun solder seal connectors (ARE GREAT)....

no no no t-taps are not a good long term connection methode and it is not a question of if they will fail but when.

CUT and SOLDER them up properly if you are set on those lamps for permanent... OP said he didn't want to cut... I use to feel the same way until I learned that it was me being paranoid, a proper wiring repair is as good as the original harness... I use a fabric OE type electrical tape over solder or heat-gun-solder joints to cover the repair, never looked back... :)
