My experience with bad Cat Converters is that some original problem with the a/f ratiocaused the Cat to become plugged up. I would check your fuel pressure... It almost sounds like your fuel pump isleaning out, causing your computer to pull timing (for safety), feeling like a missfire.. A fuel injector is possible, but I have seenmore fuel pump problems than injector problems..
