An UPDATE finally!!!! Well while the site was having issues, and I was having trouble signing in, I made some progess on the ol girl.. For starters my old boss (now promoted), made me move my car off the work parking lot, so the car is in my garage now, which for the most part worked out better. I took off the A pillars, B pillars, trunk, all interior panels, dash, and headliner.. It was all going well until I found this: Yeah, thats a giant rust hole behind the bumper on the bottom part of the quarter panel.. I was initially pretty pissed, but then I realized that it's better that I find it now while the car is apart and I can fix it right, then to find it later. So I slapped some bondo on it and called it good... Kidding.. I bought a replacement quarter panel. (I had a before picture of the chunk of car I cut with it, but photobucket was having issues as it was tonight, so this is the after spot weld drilling: I have about half of the spot welds drilled out on the panel currently on the car. I plan on using panel bonding adhesive to put the new one on. This way I can replace the rust that exists, instead of bandaid fixing it like a lot of cars running around town. I also got ahold of a painter finally. He came highly recommended by a few people I know, especially some business owners who have delt with him. So as soon as I can get this replacement quarter panel on, and the windshield out, she will be headed down for some body work and fresh Sonic Blue.
