[QUOTE="MustangChris, post: 558653, member: 10830"] never heard of probe. i personally avoid no-name brands. ... ESPECIALLY when it comes to stroker kits... i wont even use Eagle... the problem is many of the kits (to keep their products cheep) dont do enough R&D on their product. Impropper stroke to bore ratio, impropper piston material, and improper stroke length of the stroke can cause problems that proper research can avoid. For example, lateral friction is the friction on the side of the cylinder wall while the piston is going up and down in the cylinder. Improper stroke to bore ratio and improper stroke length can cause this to become fatal to a motor. (think on the 1000's of an in scale here) imagine the cylinder on a block... its supposed to be perfectly round. every time the piston goes up and down in the cylinder, it scrapes away a TINY bit of the cylinder wall. at 1,000 RPMs thats 60,000 per hour. say you drive 2 hours a day? thats 120,000 times a day. 365 days a year? ... get where im going? and thats JUST 1000 RPMs... lol... Anyways, this causes the cylinder to change shapes into an oval. this is caused directly by lateral friction. You need to measure your cylinders when doing a motor-rebuild (chiltons tells you the specs that are acceptable.) if the stroker kit is poorly designed, this lateral friction is amplified and this happens much much much faster, but the thing is, that usually when you stroke a motor, you do other things. like N2O, or Boost... with constant presure and extream conditions like that, every minor thing is amplified. ..... . . thats just one example as well. go livernoise. tehy make a premium product. edit: if you want to save a penney, buy a BBK TB instead of the Accufab TB... dont skimp on the internals.
