8th mile times

best i can get is a 9.49, and it pisses me off every time.


i figure i need to get some nitto 555s and some sort of some suspension upgrades.. any ideas guys??

i'm also lookin for some pi stuff... i wish i could find a set of pi heads with vt IIs in them already... but that'd be expensive as hell. i'm also doin my 3.73s pretty fast

getting n20 too. small shot most likely.

I've ran a best of 8.84 @77 with a 1.98 60ft with drag radials. I also have done the pi swap and stage 2 cams longtubes and a dyno tune.

I am at 5800 ft with bad air and very hot air and I have run a best of [email protected] MPH with out the slicks!


Times with the slicks come tomorrow!

On my 95Gt I had years ago my best ( on memory ) was a 9.3 STOCK of course that was a 5.0 car

My 96Gt automatic ran 9.6 with gears and a shift kit

Thats not bad. I got 4.10's and long tubes and I ran a 9.3.

Why not take your mustang to a 1/4 mile track instead?
I never took my mustang to a 1/8 mile track before.

yep, it takes about 45 minutes to get to the 1/8 track here and about DOUBLE that to get to the 1/4 track here

9.21 in the 1/8th mile with a 2.1 60' here at 0 alt., some PI parts and stock NPI heads and 3.90s. Heading back to the track in the fall with DRs in addition to what I'm learning here and hope to get those times down.

***update as of 10/07 with DRs no spare and 70mm+Plenum. I was also my 2nd time at the track, so I felt more comfortable there.

What's your 60'? And what is your launch technique? Auto or 5 speed?

60' is around 2.0-2.1 but on this pass it was a 1.9. I take it real easy coming off the line by riding the clutch then kill it. It's a 3550. I raced a friend (that runs 7.2's) on the street and got him by a 1- 1 1/2 cars but this is from a roll. My video shows my launch in the video section.

I ran 9.1 in the 1/8 with only BBK cold air intake, 4.10's, 75mm BBK TB, Diablo Predator generic tune, Borla Catback and o/r x-pipe. That was also on DUnlop SP5000 275 tires. Automatic too!!! That was on all Non-PI setup.
