Dont get a "Chip"... Get a dyno tune or a mail order.

Whats done to the car? If its basically stock your not going to magically pick up tons of power.

a chip is pretty much useless until you get some heads or cam or larger injectors.

I am not sure how big I am on the mail order idea. Sure it saves a few bucks but I still think it would be better to have it all checked out before the tune was applied. Would you feel comfortable emailing you dr the issues you have and have him mail back some medicine with out knowing all the details of what is wrong? I am heading to the dyno myself shortly and its expensive but worth it.

I dont see a problem with it. There is this wonderful thing called datalogging its not like they are blindly changing parameters.

adam, maybe im just not understanding your first answer, but i thought on the 94-95's you have to have a "chip" to get tuned?!?!?!?! our factory ecu's wont accept manipulation of progaming without a chip or a piggyback like the pms or tweecer?!?!?!?!

You are correct. I would guess that Adam was inferring that you shouldn't buy an off the shelf chip. Those chips cannot be burned again. Quite different from a chip that a tuner burns based on your car when it is on a dyno.

Correct. I was referring to these "ebay chips" people think they are going to gain 100hp from... Basically scams...

Crap like this that i find all the time under the hoods of peoples mustangs

just made a purchase from greg and can vouch he is a good guy. Just make sure you have a sharp knife ready to cut the 100 mph tape he packs them with and be sure not to cut yourself while opening it. :)

There you go. I've never heard duct tape being described as 100mph tape. Learn something every day whether useful or not
