Hi All, I am dealing with a random engine stall issue. As it stands now, the engine stalls intermittently while driving around town. It doesn't die, it just cuts out for a second, but keeps running, for now at least. It's like it just cut's out for a second. Keep in mind this car is bone stock and automatic. Any help would be great, and if you have any ideas, please be descriptive on where the part you reference might be located, as I'm still a NOOB on all the really intricate details of these cars.

Thanks as always!

This is a few steps down the road for you so just keep it in the back of your mind for now; if I was starting over with a stock 94/95 today the first thing I'd do is go directly for a modern aftermarket EFI system and completely eliminate the stock ECU and stock wiring harness from the equation. There are so many places on these old things where the plastic connectors have cracked and are barely holding on, where the wiring insulation has deteriorated and letting wires touch each other or ground, where old capacitors have dried out, etc.. and you can spend a ton of money and time chasing all that stuff down individually, before even considering the effort it takes to accommodate any power adders you might include with the stock ECU.

I'm not necessarily suggesting you go straight to that right now before doing any diagnostic work on the issue you're facing right now, just consider it if you find yourself looking down a rabbit hole.

No, it does drop though with the engine as it's cutting off. I did change the coil pack, that didn't seem to change anything. It really feels like fuel, but I don't want to shoot the parts cannon at this one.

If you can try some accelerations and see what the tach does it could narrow it down some. When I hit 5k when getting on it, my tach would bounce around down, and the engine would cut out. Was the PIP sensor, my reasoning was that if the tach was doing weird things, then the signal which reads engine RPM was no good. Thus, PIP sensor.

I would also, with the engine running, tug on the connectors a little. Will show you if one is loose. Could cause your problems.
