Were there any late '95 5.0 cars produced with OBD II? I've searched around trying to find info on it, but haven't found anything.

If this has been covered elsewhere, please PM me a link and properly dispose of this thread. ;]

Theres no obdII 95 GTs. I'm pretty sure the only 5.0 obdII vehicles were the explorers/moutainers.

94-95 3.8l stangs were OBD-II, hence why we have the diag port under the dash, although it is non-op

'95 was a split year. if i understand correctly, some cars had OBD I and some had OBD II. my '95 Cobra has an OBD I port under the hood and an OBD II port under the steering wheel. the OBD II port doesn't give any readings whatsoever, and the OBD I port gives three digit readings like an OBD II. so it's an OBD I with a hint of II i guess.

actually, the reason why our cars have the non-operational OBD-II port in because ford used a universal harness in our cars. v6, v8. cobra, coupe, hardtop... all share the same harness. And like I posted before, the 94-95 V6 was OBD-II

you have a 95GT? Even if you did some sort of obdII conversion they would still do the sniff test at emissions, so I'm curious as to how they tested your car

here in wi they just plug it in and check for engine codes, theyre not real big on emissions so they only give the sniffer when u fail the computer, unless u r obd1, my friend works for ford and he says hes seen it before but not often. theyre were a few other things that where wierd on it, it came from my uncle who bought it new and it has a cobra hood on it and he never switched it, i cant remeber what else was wierd when he got it........o it said just mustang on the bumper too. they must have just used all the left over parts in the back of the shop when they assembled mine, ghetto piece of shit

i dont think i have any one on the computer, i can look. it came with cobra wheels too, but not brakes. we first figured it out when my friend went to run the code and thought it was a 96 and everything worked. i dont know if it matters now but i put a new dash and computer and everything in around may, but it all worked before then.

the only way for you to have a 5.0 AND obd2 is if an explorer computer was installed into your car. you do have a obd2 port under the dash but it won't do anything. 94-95 codes have to be read under the hood by the right shock tower
