97 Cobra Downstream O2 sensor

Hello everyone,

I’m asking for a friend who needs the part numbers for the rear (downstream) O2 sensors for a ’97 Cobra. Both of the downstream O2 sensors have been removed. He already replaced the upstream sensors and noticed that the connectors for the upstream and downstream O2 sensors aren’t the same.

For what it’s worth, NTK were the oem suppliers. One brand to stay away from is Bosch. I’ve personally had bad luck with them and have read numerous threads with others having issues as well.

Was the same on my '00 GT i just pulled the original sensors off. The downstream ones were NTK branded and had the Ford Oval as well on them. When i replaced them, I purchased the NTK brand.

My original OE Upstream however were a different manufactuer than NTK but I don't have them anymore to remember what they were.

Ah…I forgot about the overseas factor in terms of getting parts.

Make your own or buy the LT extensions while you are in there just to prep for LT headers. Get connectors at salvage yard.
