Advantages of t-56 swap in 01 GT?

what does your 1st gear top out at ?

I'm honestly not sure since my car doesn't pull to redline great right now, but according to online calculators it should be around 47mph @ 5800rpm since I believe the 03/04 Cobra T56 has the 2.66 first gear.

Yeah my friend has a ws6 and its about 45 in 1st too. its ridic, but thats now it needs to be. a longer first gear will help with traction on the street and whatnot.

they're alot stronger then a t5 as well.

a friend of mine has a 96 cobra with a t56 and hasn't changed his rear end gear yet (still 3.27) he can do 70 @ 1800rpm.. makes me sick

Just do the t56 and call it a day.
