I got an autometer fuel gauge and its for mounting on the outside only.

...

well, i dont have a cowl hood, so i can put it under the hood.
i cant mount it inside.

..
any other suggestions on where to mout it so it doesnt look like a retard chose the location? my only idea is to screw it to the cowl... that would be ugly and it would probably get stolen. lol.

buy electric gauge and sell this one on ebay so you can mount inside the car. Punk ass kids can rip those off and if you knock it off you will be squirting fuel.

maybe you could do some custom work and mount it on your factory cowl vent, the black plastic piece the windshield wiper mounts are on. cut it a little with a dremel or something to get the gage to lay flush as possible and run the wires underneath.

or if you want to go the long way, grab a Fuel Pressure Guage Isolator kit. they are 70 bucks at the cheapest, and allow you to mount it inside. it just makes it so if the guage fails or the lines fail its not pissin fuel in the car. that would be a bad day.
