I love my 04. It rides pretty well, but bounces around some. Regular cab short bed with a v8. Looked up by the vin at work, it has all the heavy duty options, so thats probably the reason. I'm considering a lift, but more then like 35's and a leveling kit will serve me just fine. It's a good truck

It's a lowly 2wd, but for what I do it'll take care of it. Most of the 4wd ones around here are near 20k. I wasn't about to pay that for a used truck. Anymore, a good gear, tires, LSd, and small lift will keep you just as capable. But really I just like them for height and looks. The actual mudding part is pretty useless. I just like ground clearance lol

Looks great man I really like those. My dad has an 04 XL w/Lariat grill in bright red. The biggest problem that truck has given him is the steel rims are rusting out.

It doesn't take too much to be successful offroad. A good driver with a good LSD and good tires can go as far as anyone with a 4x4 and a heavy foot.

My 2006 F150 4x4... I put a 2.5" level kit on the front and a 3" on the back so someday I'll be able to run 35s. So far it has a Magnaflow side exhaust and Harley-Davison F150 head/tail lights. My plan is to murder it out. I also have a fiberglass tonneau cover that I want to paint a huge skull and cross bones on :angel4:
