If so chime in and tell me how you like it and how big of a shot are you running on a H/C/I car? do you use a wet or dry kit? with the quotes i've gotten on installing my turbo kit along wiith my H/C/I this week I think I might just sale my turbo kit and buy a wet NOS kit and go that route instead.I just wanted to see if folks here was having good experiences while using it. thanks

What kind of kit push rod kit ? Turbo that is ?

I run a wet kit 125 shot ran it for a long time I highly reccomend getting a window switch and running it with a wot switch if your new to nitrous mainly because If you miss shift ur intake won't come threw ur hood... And the wot switch so ur not spraying to early and have it pool up and then go boom. I've had great results with nitrous getting my stock hci 95 gt in the bottom 12's with stock style suspension. And i had run atleast 100 bottles threw my motor with well over a 100k miles on it before a drunking night of nitrous burnouts wen I skipped a tooth on the timing chain and caffed the motor NBD... I'd run 1-2 shades cooler plugs and you need to back the timing off a bit.. I run a switch bank chip with a nitrous tune and a N/A tune

thanks for the info,my kit IS for a pushrod car and 94-95 specific. i'd like to run MSD retard box with mine so i can keep a little bumped timing when just riding on motor alone.I hear a window switch is a must from alot of folks.

Yea there cheap enough it's great insurance for ur motor. I make all customers purchase one when installing nitrous just for no headaches when they miss shift or anything . This way it's safe Cus it controls when the nitrous kicks in and shuts down So it's mint for powershifting

I am in the same boat it sounds like. I considered going turbo but I honestly just do not need that much power on tap all the time and could probably do with only spraying it a few times a month.

yeah ttocs,i hate to do it but I can't pay over $1000 rightnow to have it installed and tuned.most shops wanted $1600-$2600 to do H/C/I and the turbo install and I have EVERYTHING need to do the install down to the sparkplugs. I just can't see doing it so i'm gonna sell the turbo and just do a nitrous set-up for now.that'll be all i need anyway if i feel like playing around sometime.the BOV sounds cool but not cool enough to spend that kind of cash on it.

I run the same as musturd. I love spray, I suprise the crap out of alot of cars on the street. it's simple, cheep, yea u can run out of spray but hci 5.0's are a blast to drive anyway. I tell everyone, 1 of my fav things about n2o is its like a treat once in a while. all my buddies that have blowers love the power for a while then they get used to it and want more. they get bored, where as spray u dont, atleast i dont get bored with it. I wouldnt change a thing.

I had a 200 wet shot on my old 86 . It was a 306 with 93 cobra heads with a full port job built bottom end and studed heads. Msd ignition . I put a 2 10 lbs bottles to it every week . All my friends always told me u need a good fuel system so it don't lean out and ur good to go. Oh and forged pistons r a must... with no mass air system on the car nitrous was the only choice I had.

That is kinda the way I would look at it. How much does it normally cost to fill a bottle and how many 1/4 mile runs for example on a 100 shot would you get?

I run a dry kit, use an 88 jet currently. I use a PMS to add fuel for the nitrous. Best so far in the car is a 9.70. blow off valves are cool, but so is a 6 foot plume of nitrous when you purge ;)

Zex kits work great.. But like I said and other said always get a window switch ..... When ur intake manifold goes threw the hood you'll cry... Cus it strips out the lower manifold at the same time while ur upper gets nicely fucked when it hits the ground all ur hanesses get as well. When I ran my car with out one I was driving on borrowed time ran it lots like that, but put one in with in the first 2 weeks
