ATI 4890, E8500, 4 GB, nothing special. still rocking Promedia 5.1's that won't die.

Now that I'm graduating in less than a month, I'll be able to get back to the games I love, but basically:

*Left 4 Dead
*Left 4 Dead 2
*Team Fortress 2
*Diablo 2
*Quake Live

My list of owned games would be a mile long, but those listed are the ones I've played in the last 6 months. My preference goes FPS first, then racing, RPG, and RTS in no particular order after that. I play CSS, but usually only at LAN parties. I'm a die-hard Quake fan, and would be playing Quake 1 CTF (14 year old game) today if there were active servers still around.

XBox 360...I have the usuals, Assassin's Creed, Rock Band 1 and 2 (I drum on expert, probably about 60% of the songs...I say that not to brag, cause I know it's not much, but in case others play), Forza 2, etc. No first person shooters on the 360...FPSs have no place on consoles, I'm sorry if that hurts someone's feelings.

If you have any inkling of firing it back up again, let me know. I played primarily CTF, and you can find some servers still active here and there.

Thats all i played also back then =] CTF was fun. Im back on vista because 7 runs crappy on my hardware. It doesnt lock up completely, but its just not responsive as Vista and sometimes would lock up 1 window for 5-10 seconds. My FPS are higher in Vista compared to 7. My fps are higher in Xp than Vista. And my fps are higher in windows 2000 than XP.

Seems my luck is always like this, but i gave 7 a whirl for a long time. Ill re-install it once i get sick of Vista again.

But i doubt im installing any of those old games. The GFX just kill me... and i can't get use to old games anymore lol.. i cant even enjoy Pac man :sad5:

There are modifications that improve the graphics significantly for Quake 1. I mean, no one will mistake it for a modern game, but no modern game is that fast-paced. And you'd definitely have no problem with FPS.

I can't wait for Diablo 3. despite all the bickering people are doing about the changes to the game structure, I think when it all boils down, it'll be another hit.

I bow before your rig's awesomeness...as long as you have some skill to back it up. I'm sure you do, but it's a big bucket of fail when I find people that don't. I was at a pretty big lan once, 250 people, and I swear there was this kid with this crazy liquid case, lots of lights, and the dude was just standing next to it, like it was his car at a shine and show or something.
