anyone wanna polish my alternator?

so i was thinking of buyin either a chrome or polished alternator, but someone(canarygt) gave me an idea to just polish my own. the problem is i dont have much time to do that AND i dont know how. so my question is would anyone on here wanna do it? obviously if i paid them but i was kinda hopin for someone somewhat local if possible because im sure shipping to cali would be ridic....let me know if you or if you know anyone that would thanks guys

Your car is a 96 GT right? I painted mine, not polished and I do have a spare alt. If I was to get the case powdercoated in a chrome color would you be able to handle swapping alt cases yourself or would you need a complete bolt on alt?

i could get mine torn apart as well...whats all involved in tearing one apart ive never done it? is it all just screws nuts and bolts?

Couple bolts, just important to get ti back to gether correctly

Let me find out how much it is to powdercoat the alt case and see if it is worth it

If you can crack the case yourself why not use them then? They should be able to turn it around in a day or two

Another option is I could "loan" you my case (send it to you as-is) and you send me yours once it's done

The case on the alternator is perfect, it just had a bad bearing which seized up

No prob. Best part about this motor is you can pull the alt out in a matter of minutes.
