Well, $1300 is gonna be real tight but we can make it work. Keep in mind most places are around $400 for remove and re-install so I don't know if the $1300 includes parts or not. You're going to need a hardened input shaft, a good clutch kit with kolene steels and a good torque converter at the minimum. One nice thing is Ford put a hardened input shaft in the 1998 and newer 4R70W which will work perfect in an AODE. There are 2 rebuild kits that I like, one kit that has Raybestos Blue Clutches and another kit that comes with Alto Red Clutches with the "Power-Pak", both come with Kolene steels and hi-performance front bands. I believe they stopped making the Raybestos Blue clutches but you can find them if you really look. Karl Baumann @ BEControls.com might still have them. Karl Baumann is crazy smart and an all around killer guy to know when it xomes to small block ford automatics. Now, you need a converter. That is something where you're gonna want something in the 10" range. As far as the stall DO NOT go by internet recommendations. Call the companies and they will go over your modifications and THEY will decide and advise what stall to go wih. You're going to need something that has been furnace brazed and an anti-ballooning plate for boost. If you have any more questions, don't be afraid to ask.
