As a rule of thumb, I never run anything smaller than 4g cable. If yer running a big mono block that pulls tons of amps you'll need the bigger cable to provide current or run the risk of damaging yer amp. Make sure to fuse the power cable under the hood NO MORE than 18 inches from the batt. Running 4g now allows upgrades down the road without having to run it again. The seatbelt bolt provides a good ground but hit the area with a wire brush real good to expose clean metal. Make sure you secure the amp very well. If it flops around the power can come loose and and cause fire or burn shit up quik. Read the amps install recomendations....Some amps have to be installed laying flat for cooling purposes.
