Now I have a
little power out of my New Edge, I have been trawling the forums for ideas for
where I go next.

I keep coming back to big n littles on 15's.

My favourite 'looks' so far are:

Mustang Matt

Bullitt5339.jpg

Bullitt5339

AND '97stanger' but photobucket doesn't seem to like .png format :(

I need some help though:

What drop / lift is needed on the front / rear springs?

What width wheels do I need if I want at least 12 inch wide tyres at the back
and at 205mm at the front?

I know I'll need to get rid of the quadrashocks but do good quality UCAs / LCAs
really stop the wheel hop adequately?

What backspacing do I need F/R?

Do I need wheel-spacers at the front to get out towards the fender lip?

What type /size rear tyres are best if I want to use mainly DD (legally) with occasional
drag runs?

Lastly, has anyone seen or have pics of a New Edge with Centerline Auto Drag 05’s:

Many thanks guys

Mark

I had to run 1/2 spacers to clear my OEM GT brakes when I had my 15" centerlines

Depends on the wheels and offsets....

But most 15x3.5 skinnies require a spacer to clear the front break calipers. Not sure about the front spacing.

I had to run a 3/8 spacer for my billets to clear, no spacer on my greg welds though.

you will need a 15x10 with 6.5 inch spacing for the rear for a 12 inch wide tire.

15x8s will sit out at the fender with 4.5 bs, 5.5 bs will sit inside it.

yes, a good quality LCA will make up for the quadshocks.

personally, I wouldnt run anything but a drag radial on a 15 inch wheel cause the tire choices range from crap to crap as far as street tires.

You can pick up nitto drags 555rs pretty cheap and get decent mileage out of them

Anymore questions, let me know.

Great info guys. Thanks!
Justin, that picture of your car rolling is exactly the kind of look I'd like.
How far is she lowered and did you need to use caster/camber plates?
Cheers
