Here for posterity's sake.How to remove paint (interior):0) clean area with water and very little simple green.1) Lay AIRPLANE PAINT STRIPPER (only paint remover I found works easily and consistently) down thickly over desired area2) Place saran wrap, or equivalent, down in strips over affected area; saran wrap will stick to remover, not metal3) Using your hands, press lightly into the saran wrap, squishing the remover into the metal as much as possible.4) Wait 45 mins5) peel off saran wrap, 80% will come up with the saran wrap, the rest can be scraped off with the effort of blinking; if it not, the remover didn't get to it6) clean up area with simple green and water; move on to next area.The hardest part is actuallly waiting for the remover, since it smells of sin and I can't do anything else in the car while I wait. Excited for that to be done so I can get to a part I love....Sanding. Hope everyone is well, or at least on the way towards it.</blockquote>
