Boost controller on my Procharged setup

Im doing research about doing a wastegate/boost controller on my D1 setup. I want to run the 21psi pulley abut only want 15 on pump gas. But the smaller pulley will bring boost on QUICKER then a ROOT blower. Im theres a guy running a stock auto car with a p1 running a 12.90 with a 1.54 off foot break only making 12 psi.

i've never really heard of anyone doing a wastegate/boost controller on a procharger i don't think it's even possible. i tell everyone this, boost is just a measurement of air restriction. say a 3.10 pulley makes 15 lbs of boost, on a car that has same setup with ported heads it might only make 13lbs but more hp... i'm running a 10% OD and a 2.9 RR 8 rib pulley (8 rib setup on a D1sc) now i'm in the 20# boost depending on temp. outside but i have ported heads, cams and so on.. someone with the same setup and non ported heads would make more boost.

the only way you can change your boost output/input is changing the pulley. which means belt and all... personally i daily drive my mustang the way it is, my compression was built 8.5:1 so i could maintain highest hp numbers on 93 oct. just food for the thought but inless they created something i just don't know about and google is failing to show me i don't think you can run a wategate on a procharger

500 hp is all you need to break the 10's.. 500 good suspension and tires.. i've seen a guy in a 93 gt pull a 10.39 on 512 hp so just keep that in mind also

its possible and i have seen it done. personally i wouldn't do it because you are going to be generating a lot more heat spinning the blower harder.

upgrade it to a f series or better yet put a ysi on it and don't look back if you want to go faster

Yes it has been done before just on a vortec thoe cheak out this link and read the article from start to finish. i found it very intresting.

definately can be done, is it worth it?

probably not considering the extra heat and power you will be wasting to spin the blower to make more usable power.

Seems like you may pick up some boost from like 4-5k but I feel like the inefficiency from 5-6k would take away from it.
