well ive found the 99-04 catback in Jegs for around $600 so ima get that when i get the $ up. ill take yalls word for it that the tips will look good

4" tips look huge for sure, especially when you don't have a cutout in the bumper for them.

Agreed that's why i sold mine off when i picked up the Stinger catback i had.

Wait so your going to get the whole catback. I would just pick up the muffs and use other tailpipes the 4" look huge literally. Trust me i just hung it up there on my 94 and you will not like that huge tip.

There are the stinger tips i had. The regular piping is 2.5" so that will give you an idea of how big those suckers are.

yeah but the mufflers themselves will be $300. then id have to buy all of the exhaust that goes over the rearend and some tips. then id have to piece all of it together and hope they looked and fit right. and idk where/what i could order that would bolt on the existing 2.5" connector pipes(from the X to the Muffler) and look good and fit well. want some 3.5" tips honestly

After i bought the Catback i sold the Tailpipes for $135 Shipped. Only cost me 33 to ship them also. I mean I would look around on here, corral and SVTP to see if anyone has any tailpipes that are a true 2 1/2 with 3 or 3 1/2" Tips.

so you think i should order the Borla Catback and sell the tips and swap them? ive thought about doing that but didnt wanna lose much $ in cutting the Borla tailpipes off and selling them for some other tailpipes. JUST WISH THEY MADE A KIT WITH 3 1/2" tips! dang!

Only reason i did that was so i could keep the SS tubing and i was going to get the fox tails from Summit and run them out following the body lines like they do on the fox.

so you think i could buy the catback and just cut the tips off and replace with some 3.5" tips from someone like MAC or SLP? then sell the Borla tips? think thats what i should do?

yeah. i might look into those then. i like them myself. if anyone has a new edge or S197 and would like some 4" tips ill prolly sell them after i get the catback
