So I just got my first job and I'm getting pretty tired of my car, so now I wanna either build a fast v6 or buy a gt or a cobra
my parents said they will give me $1k to help me out and I added it up and buying a cobra or building a bad ass v6 would be about
the same price.
What should i do?

I have seen some very respectable v6's out there but just keep in mind if you are going to invest $$$ into a v6 there is a point where you will get bored and then you will want to get a v8! so just avoid wasting 1-2 years and a few grand and just get a v8

Plus 10000000.
My old neighbor bought a V6 a while back and said he would fix it and he was gonna be just as fast as me and with better gas mileage. He accomplished that but his mileage wasn't so great and as soon as I started upgrading stuff on mine he had no chance

agreed... had a v6 first, it will never be a V8. I would save a few bucks and buy a GT not a cobra and throw the money into some mods... but then again, everyone loves a cobra...

Drop a 460 block (or stroke it to 500+ cubes) into the engine bay. They're cheap, they fit, and goddamn do they make immense torque!

There is no replacement for displacement.

See my last post. LOL.

I don't wanna v8 swap it I'd rather just buy something thats already a v8

Keep in mind it's gonna cost more to buy a car than it will to just keep the car you currently have. I wish I woulda v8 swapped my sixxer, only reason I didn't was because the frame was pretty beat up and that was the only reason why I hesitated.

Shouldnt cost that much doing a v8 swap with a donor car... Best way to do it!

3k would be a pretty good build but keep in mind your V6 platform which means brakes, drivetrain etc. That stuff will add up faster than a stripper and a hotel room.

Cobra motors arent cheap to mod either. but you get a better platform than a V6 for sure. Can you do a carburetor?
