i would LOVE hids! and i will get them in the future for sure. wish i had the money for them now. just have to get rid of these crappy old ones i have now. doesnt help that my lens are so dirty. anyone have any good sanding methods to clean them?? i was thinking something like 600, 1200, 2000, 2500 all wet sanding. would that be good? or is there any other good ways to clean them?

The Silverstars are better then factory bulbs but even they burn out and are a waste of money. These HID kits have come down in price and for $10-20 more are really worth it.

I bought VVME's. Mine just suck! The lows are my highs. Still not that bright. Only hook up one way, so nothing is wrong. I needed another maker of some. Are the ddmtuning ones good? If so, I'll add them to my list.

Yeah, buy an HID kit.. I had silverstars, the regular ones, and really was not satisfied with them especially compared to HID's. And like everyone said, they're not nearly as expensive as before.

the last time I restored mine I used flitz metal polish on a buff wheel.
Took maybe 5 minutes each side. turned out amazing.
I've tried the sanding thing before and it worked too. but the Flitz was waaay faster.
Suggestion; sand the h/l nipples off first. It makes polishing, and washing the h/l was easier

Try aiming your headlights down and over a little, it's not good if you're blinding other drivers. I went all last year without being flashed once.

I've had both kits...the VVME's gave me nothing but problems, the DDM's are great.
