Would front calipers off of a 2000 GT bolt right onto a 96 V6? I've got a 96 V6 vert and found a good deal on a set of calipers off of a 2000 GT vert. Wondering if they'll just bolt right on or if there's a bunch modding I would have to do to get them in.

Is there really much difference in the calipers off those newer Mustang GT's? I know the GT calipers on the '94-'98 cars are the same as the V6 cars got... The only ones that were different were the Cobra models...

99-04 GT and V6 brakes are the same, but they are better than 94-98 GT and V6 brakes

Good to know. Any idea how MUCH better? As in from 1-10 (1 being our current stock ones, 10 being Cobra brakes)? I was planning on upgrading mine to Cobra, at least in the front, but if these are good enough over our stock ones I may just do that.

hmm... might just do that then. My current brakes are ... adequate, but I always like the idea of having better stopping power. It's all fun and games to go fast, but in my experience, being able to STOP fast is much more important.
