Alright, well I plan on having ported GT40 heads, ported explorer intake....now I have 3 options for cams that I have money to get. Does anybody have the CompCams Thumpr cam? I like the sound of that one, I just havent seen any #'s or how it would work with my combo. Then the other 2 options would be TFS1 or FRPP E303 cam. Im sure somebody on here has #'s for those cams and this head/intake combo. Any help would me appreciated

I would do the TFS 1 cam. It is very close to what the E cam is but it pushes more on the exhaust which is what you want with a 302.

The thumpr cams range are not great.

They push a lot on the lift for the intake and have a really low lobe seperation (which is why they "thump" so much). Plus...I'm not sure about clearance because they have LOTS of duration.

My personal mechanic told me to do TFS1, so that's probably the route I will go. Thanks for the help man

Crane 2031 and Steeda #19 would be decent choices too I reckon.
How expensive are those two compared to my other choices?

The crane cam is like $189 I think.

Get it while you can...crane is out of buisness (for now). I am sure summit/jegs still has some.

I bought my cam online last year.

I like my TFS1. Not sure on what your tuning plans are you may have some trouble with the idle untuned. Your air/fuel is likely to be off too. I had to richen my MAF curve a ton and I running the cobra tune as my base.

Wrong cam for your application, have you run it at the track and compared it from that stand point?

I have ran about every combo you can think of , TFS 1 cam is the best matched for GT40 heads for an off the shelf cam again due to the higher exhaust lift
