Cam install

Can I install a B303 cam without removing the heads. I have a 94 5.0.

Lifters timing chain
Heads can stay on
The spider fingers that hold lifters in
Will need to be removed also

After i install the B303 cam will I need to have the car tuned or will it be ok with the factory tune?

I would plan on a tune. It might run ok but more than likely to get it running nice it would need a tune.

If I remember right one lifter won't come all the way out without removing the head. Not a big deal just use a magnet to hold it up out the bore a little to remove and install the cam.

what kind of heads will best fit the B303 cam and let them play nice together.

Any head really. The b303 isn't that big. Obviously it would do better in an aftermarket head than the iron e7 heads. But that cam is a good fit from mild to wild.

At first I did not tune
Then the heads were changed and intake throttle body
Then I did the tune

If your modifying i would wait till all mods are complete the tune

you can do it in the car or out
its up to you
i have made changes with engine in the car

you will need to remove the rad and stuff in front of it obviously but yes it can be done.
