Cam Swap In Car?

I was curious if a cam swap can be done with the engine still in the car? im changing intake and heads and thougth i migth as well do a cam while im at it. If this is possible please let me know how and waht will need to be done to do it?

yes it can....some trimming of some metal i believe its the rad. support is needed to get the cam in nothing visible however ...oviously the rad, needs to come out

It can be done in the car and on the two '95s I have done it on I didnt even need to trim the rad support but pretty much everything has to come out....

If you want to do it right...

Radiator and Condensor need to be removed. Just removing the radiator you take a BIG chance on nicking one of the lobes on the cam.

You can do it just removing the rad but like I said - your taking a chance.

Honestly just pull the engine if you can. I wanted to do my swap with the engine in the car but just decided to pull it and it was the best idea ever. Everything was so accessible and it gave me a good chance to change out some other stuff and do some cleaning and painting.
