I did a search, but couldn't find any real info on aftermarket cams for our 4-valves. This all stems from a book I'm reading -- it notes that an '03-'04 Mach 1, rated at 305hp from the factory, will make over 390hp with longtubes, a cat back, and "mild stage I cams". Has anyone cammed their 4v here?

i have the fr500 cams in mine, but i put them in when i built the motor for the supercharger and put a t-trim on, so i dont know about the gain n/a. still need headers though, these stock manifolds are killing me. is the 390 at the wheels or at the fly like how they are rated stock. also they have c heads so they do much better n/a than our b heads.

I would have to assume they're talking about flywheel hp (they never mentioned the RWHP). Where did you get your cams? I bet you enjoy that T-Trim  I'm jealous!!

i ordered the cams from modular mustang racing prolly a year or so ago. i also got comp cams springs, titanium retainers, and what not along with 5 angle valve job on the heads. the t-trim is pretty fun but i really need to get an 8 rib set up to make any serious power. for the amount i paid for the upgraded valve train i could have had my 8-rib set up with headers and maybe even a accufab throttle body (the one that flows 1696 cfm), but hind sight is 20/20.
