I hope to have the Cobra up and running by april, its has not run since sept of 2010 ( long story but did some extensive upgrades and ran into time and fundage issue by the end of last summer ). Its getting to the point where I need to finialize the exhaust system set up. I will be running Accufab 1 3/4 Long tubes with a Mac 3" Prochamber. What I planned on orginally doing was running dynomax side exhaust with a set of SVO Side skirts but in order for me to do this I also have to remove the current sub frame connectors and replace them with spintech's that are designed for side exhaust. Since this is a strip/street car I'm not sure if the SVO side skirts are exactly the look I want, it seems to be more of a show only type look but I still want it to look nice regardless of if its at the track or on the street. The other set up I am considering is using Borla PRO XS mufflers and dumping them and using cervini's side skirts. I no longer have my stock side skirts b/c they were part of the sale of getting the SVO skirts.

PRO's - SVO Side skirts are rare and side exhaust is not seen as much

CONS- Having to remove the current subframes and spend another $150 + Installation costs so the side exhaust wont have clearance issues (the side exhaust does not fit very well with the current subframes)

So what do you guys think? I'm leaning more towards the Borla PRO XS mufflers and cervini's side skirts but I think I just need some nudging. The Dynomax side exhaust and SVO Skirts would also be up for sale if I go the other route for anyone who might be interested.

I wouldn't be ditching subframe connectors for side exhaust .... I guess you can spend some time and do the thru floor subframes

The Spin Tech set up is sweet. I love the sound of the Spins on my side exit, and their subframes are pretty good.

I'm not, thats part of the CON though. I have the tube style roush subframe connectors now. The side exhaust does not clear them very well at all it hangs way to low. In order to run the dynomax I would have to have the current subframes cut off and buy the spintech's which are made for side exhaust. Thats just a whole other added expense thrown in. I dont want to do through the floor connectors.

Ya I some how missed the spin tech connectors in there. Yes threw floor subframes are a big job I like them and all, but I usually run MM ones and I can tuck the exhaust up enough that the connectors will scrape before the exhaust

can I get some pics of this? I thought the exhaust would have to go under the sub-frames?

+1 on pics. I'm running a side exhaust as well and have debating forever on what SFCs to go with. I'd love to run either MMs or Kenny Browns

For the amount of money you probably have in this car, whats another $150? Do it right and do it once. You are already setting yourself apart from most with owning side pipe side skirts so I would definetly use em!

You don't need to ditch em for side exhaust... I have full lengths and side exhaust.... they have been notched and I'm lowered with no ground clearance

the spintech sfc I think are more like 180.00 with shipping.( lilj4u2njoy ) I would like to see some pic's if you have them, on the notch you did to make yours work.

I have svo with borla and I dont have any sfc at all and would like to get some but rather not spend 180+ install.

i used KB full length SFC with no ground clearance issues... you cant just throw this shit together and it be good... it takes alot of work to make it work and not have problems.... i dont care how good your car looks, if it aint fun to drive then it aint worth it... this was about 2 full weeks of tweaking to get it right... i will go out on a limb here and say that i prolly have one of the most unique set ups out there... lol
