Its dark out, I dont have a garage, and my little brother has my tools so I haven't been able to pull a plug yet. I changed the plugs when I got the car, about 3 months ago, and one plug had oil on it. Thing is, the oil was on the white insulator of the plug, and on the threads as well. It wasn't fouled out either, but didn't look far from it. I was told by a mechanic that since it was on the insulator, more than likely it was oil spilled on top of the plug when someone put oil in the car. But it was black as night. If it has oil on it, does this mean a bad valve? Need some help guys, any advice? I'm gonna pull a plug first chance I get and see what I can find..
Ok, so were on our way to the track tonight, going down the interstate at about 2200 rpm's, and we decide to get on it a little. I get close to 4,000 rpm's, and I can hear a little noise, I have heard it before and just thought it was in my exhaust. Can't really explain it, like a raspy, kinda loose rusty sound I guess. But, all of a sudden, my car starts bucking, and I can feel a loss of power. So I pull over, and it has a miss. Its very noticeable, and actually makes mar car seem to run louder than before. So, im probably 15 miles from home, and it is missing, but I go ahead and try and creep home. Surprisingly, above 2,000 rpm's, the miss is almost completely gone. Between 1,000 and 2,000 it bucks and misses like crazy and my car smokes out the exhaust noticeably. I pulled my plug wires and reset them, thinking maybe one had come loose, no change.
