there are some preliminary questions first

1) why do you need carbon fiber?
2) if you do buy it are you going to paint it, if the answer to this is no, drive to the nearest dealer and trade the car in or a honda or mitsubishi lol

LoL. I would go fiber glass strictly for the price and since weight restriction doesn't seem like too much of a factor might as well save the 300$ extra.

carbon fiber is the stupidest and biggest waste of money for a street car. EVER.

carbon fiber belongs PAINTED on cars that are looking to shave fractions of a fraction of a second off a race car, that cant get any lighter any other way. if youre buying carbon fiber for any other reason, then youre completely wasting your money.

I didnt feel like looking similar to EVERY mustang on the road so I went cf.. wasnt a waste to me. Saves weight (even though that wasnt the selling point for me) and looks great to me.

If you like it buy it, thats how i do it. I take what people say on the internet as valued opinions but if i want something i get it.

When Handz made a steering wheel out of pink dildos we were all like hey man if it feels good in your hand then go for it.

The half painted hood is a concideration. Looks pretty good. But like Duff said gotta leave the unpainted CF hood to the imports.
I guess it's all about your budget though.

the new ZR1 has unpainted carbon fiber on it from the factory, does anyone have a problem with that? I think it can be a tasteful mod if done right and incorporated into the look of the car.

I like CF "if" it's 100% CF and not FG with a layer of CF. At that point, it is just for looks and looses it's function, weight and durability. Go ahead and call me ricer but having a CF and leaving and not painting it looks great. (On some cars) Jazzer on MF has a wicked Saleen and his hood is just CF and it's bad ass. It's about the TOTAL PACKAGE and not an individual parts.
