Ceramic Pads

if you drive normal they will, all depends on how you drive

They are for my Jeep Grand Cherokee so I wont be driving all crazy. I did also hear though that ceramic pads can wear rotors quicker, is that true?

I bought Ceramic(well its called semi ceramic, was $80 for the pair) and they are great. Good bite, really quiet, NO dust(which is great for shiny rims). I have looked at my rotors and their are no weird wear patterns and them still seem brand new. I would think full ceramic would be better.

I just got off the phone with a local 4x4 store and they said not to use ceramic on my stock (jeep) rotors.

ceramics are a slightly harder compound than the traditional organics.. ceramics are generally quieter, have slightly better
grabbing force, do not produce nearly as much dust as organics, but are most of the time more expensive than the organic
counterparts. Organic pads are generally better for mostly in town driving, where high speed stops are not going to be very often,
where as a lot of highway driving, where the brakes will be applied at higher speeds, tend to glaze over organic pads, causing them
to have a pre-mature squeal..

we have ceramic pads on our durango with stock rotors...no problems

I have another question except this one is about the rotors. How does everyone keep the center part of the rotor from corroding. I have heard of some people painting them but dont want it to look ricer. :dontknow:
