So I'm having issues with my transmission after replacing the clutch. 4th gear and second grind when I let the clutch out. After the clutch job everything was fine I drove the car for almost 80 miles. Then 4th started with the grinding so I came home and tightened the cable and everything was fine for a couple days now like I said second and 4th are doing it could it be from not having the cable tight enough?

Some of the adjustable cables are pure junk and will strech constantly, which will have you adjusting it all the time.

It's a steeda clutch cable kit with the quadrant and firewall adjuster. I think after the two days of driving it walked the adjustment out of the firewall adjuster I'm going to try re adjusting it today

The only aftermarket cable worth a dam is Maximum mototorsports. All the rest are crap including steeda.

Okay I'm going to order one today. The only other thing I could think of is when I did the clutch I replaced the pivot ball and the one I replaced had a lock washer underneath of it and the new one didn't come with it so I just left it out do you think that would cause this kind of issue?

As long as pivit ball height is the same as original you should be fine.

The fork should be right in the middle of the window, with a slight amount of preload on the pressure plate when the cable has final tension on it. I have several MM cables. I can send one to you for $75 shipped. LMK.
