For what you have and do I would either buy a king cobra clutch kit from ford racing or a spec stage 2 kit. As far as what to look for In a kit you will want a clutch, pressure plate, throw out bearing, and pilot bearing, and a clutch line up tool. If the tool doesn't come in the kit you should be able to buy one from advance auto for around $2.00. And no do not buy an aluminum flywheel. Your car is too heavy and does not have enough power to get the car moving off the line with an aluminum flywheel. Just get the factory flywheel resurfaced or buy a billet steel flywheel. If you went with an aluminum flywheel your car would rev quicker but fall on its face when you dump the clutch if it hooked.

My vote goes to Centerforce.

I wouldn't run an aluminum flywheel. Just get the factory flywheel resurfaced or buy a billet steel flywheel as previously stated.

This is a good answer, I have a center force stage 2 clutch man what a noisy thing it is. I kind of have the same question what is a good clutch and flywheel for a 302 ? With a lot of mods

As stated ACT. Centerforce chatter and are just not a good unit . King cobras are stiff as fuck for a near stock replacement clutch . I've used alot of ram clutches in customer cars.but by far act is the best quality for a everyday clutch and then if you want to go crazy McLeod

stock replacement from ford.

No need to spend extra money on a clutch if you dont need to.

I'm a big fan of Exedy. NASA members get a decent discount, but after 2 years of road racing I tore the T5 and motor apart to find it was in almost new condition. I was very impressed, specialy for how much abuse it gets.

I had 2 OE replacement in previous, 1 ebay clutch lasted about 5 races, and a O'reilly clutch that lasted ... wait for it ... 1 day!

I've been through 2 center force dual frictions and neither one chattered. My clutch pedal is Soo smooth. You have to break them in right. Put an easy 500 miles on mine before dropping the hammer.

Keep in mind that all these companys like Ram, Center force , spec exc... Don't actually make the clutches. Center force is made by a company called Valero. They are made to the specs specified by said company's.
