Cobra rear bumper paint

Looking for info or a thread on how to paint the bottom lip on the rear bumper on a cobra

scuff with a scotch bright pad? or sand paper?

I just used some 220 or 320 grit sand paper.

scotchbrite pad can be squeezed into the groove better. that's what I would recomend. either will work. You may as well paint the tank cover while your under there.

This is cool. My only question/hesitation is that I'm wodering if the paint will fade with sun exposure over time or if it will chip/crack if someone bumps it?

It looks sweet, though. I want to do it.

You do the clean and sand to avoid cracking/chipping. This was done a couple years ago and still looks perfect

Or. As I did lil. Cleaned, taped off, plastidipped, cleared(automotive rattlecan)..
