The 1996-1998 and some where in the middle of 2001-2004 are Romeo motors. Big differences are like he stated, the valve covers on the Winsdor=13 bolts with the Romeo=11 bolts. Also, the timing chain cover on the Winsdor motors have slightly bigger bolts than the Romeo. The Romeo cover will work, just use the bigger bolts for the heads. I think the 99-04 motors have the oil fill on the pass side. The cam gears are different, Romeo has bolt on gears and Winsdor are press on. I almost bought a 99 motor until I found out about the differences and I decided it would be too much trouble so I got a 97 motor. I'll wait and do the PI intake and cam swap later on.</p></blockquote><p></p>
