Custom CAI..

My girlfriend has a 97' 3.8 and I was wanting to put a CAI in it for her, but I wanted to make my own. Has anyone on here made there own, if so can you give me some help on what to get, where to get it, and he measurements? Any help appreciated, thanks.

it would be easier to go out and buy an ebay cai. after the price and time it would be better and easier to just pay the $40-$50 to get it off of ebay

I recommend this as well. The price is going to be the same and you won't have to deal with the hassle of making everything from scratch.

cmon its the thought that counts. i say make her one. probably hella cheaper cept air filter. and usually when you buy an ebay intake you buy a K&n anyway.

Not cheaper at all. In fact you could end up spending more on making one than buying an ebay. After the cost of the pipes, filter, couplers and stuff you pay roughly the same. Then if you mess up, you end up paying more.

However, ebay seems to be lacking the CAIs that you used to be able to find a dime a dozen of. And they aren't really K&N. It's a similar style of filter, but not a K&N. I think it's made by Holley actually... not positive on that though.
