So ya, im getting the ABS light with the hids now. If i start the car then turn on the lights i get the ABS>

If im driving and decide to flick them on i get the ABS.

But if i turn them on before starting the car -- nO ABS LIGHT

never had this problem with my old ebay hids which came with a harness. Im going to order a harness from DDM and get rid of this problem. This is starting to cost more money lol

i also heard this happens when the ballast is near the abs module. But where is the abs module on a mustang?

We were just talking about it on another post and the general idea whas that if you mount the ballasts further in towards the center of the car there is less of a chance.

I was going to try temp mounting them with some tape and testing it first to make sure it doesn't bother it.

Does anyone know if the ABS system actually works with the light on or is it off completely? There is no snow to test it out.

just move the ballast as far toward the center of the car as teh wires will allow. It seems the people that mount them right behind the light have the abs problems.

I placed my order the end of Feb, and I got a tracking number today. I guess their re-supply must have been pretty hefty! They were pretty behind right?

So with lo/hi HID kits, are the bulbs different? Or is it just the additional harness?

the bulb is different. from what I understand it move the bulb or the light just slightly to get it aimed higher. I have heard that they do not work all that well really though.

Yeah they dont. Its a higher beam of light, but its not perfect. I had lo/hi's on my last HID kit. I thought if it was just a harness I could re-use that. Mainly just to be able to blink another driver if I needed to. Some people dont know how to do a 4 way stop. lol

HID kit

High Intensity Discharge Kit most popularly known as VVME HID Kit is used to improve their light output of vehicles these days. HID kits are installed to replace the existing Halogen bulbs or fog lights with the Xenon Arch Head lamps as the light output after installing HID kit is 2 to 3 times more than the standard halogen lights. Apart from the glaring factor, HID kit is also used because it consumes less power as compared to the halogen lights.
HID kit consists of HID bulbs & HID ballasts to be installed in the existing halogen headlamp; some of the HID kits available are Plug-n-Play while some others come with adapters. HID Kit is used for brighter light output. HID Kit that gives the factory OEM look and is easy to install is mostly preferred. HID kit is available for different vehicles & is also available in different colors. Different HID kits are available with color temperatures that varies from 2000k to 14000k, color temperature relate to the color of the light output. For more: http://www.vvme.com
