Differences in a 5.4 truck block and a 5.4 cobra block

Im trying to find out the differences in them, if u can crossbreed the two engines, is there a difference in stroke or anything like that???

There shouldn't be that I know of. A 5.4L is a 5.4L, now the block might different design as webing or casting but parts should all be matching.

I know the truck block is an SOHC 5.4 and the 99 up Navigator 5.4 is a DOHC making 300 horsies, making the Navigator engine more desireable.

I don't think either the Cobra R or the GT-500 use an aluminum block. As far as I know the only 5.4 aluminum block is in the Ford GT.

your right, both are cast-iron. the difference is only the heads then
