Hi all havnt been here for awhile, had a work busy summer. I Have a Trick Flow1 h/c/i. last yr I swaped upper intakes from the street burner
to the track heat. Well I lost hp/tq all through the graph:( I was thinking of selling the track heat or swaping it for the street again to gain back the hp/tq. I know I could get a holley2 or an eddy2 but I was thinking of trying to find a tubular gt40. I know there rare and prob expensive but I think they look cool and I heard they are pretty good. Some day I might do a stroker. is this intake worth while and do you think I will get back my hp/tq I lost with the swap? Also would you port it or do any mod to it before install?

Thanks, Mark.

I would just swap back to the Street Heat. It does work well with there combo. I haven't see a tubular on a TF head setup. So i am not able to comment on that. I have a Performer RPM II on my 347.

Street heat is setup for stage 1 cam , if you had a stage 2 cam then you could probably make more power with the track heat intake , but most people don't run the track heat until they step up to a 331 or 347 stroker

so if I ran a more agressive cam with a higher operating range do you think I would see good results without doing a stroker?

Gt40 tubular isnt any better flow wise than a standard 93 cobra intake(sn95 is less), you probably lost the power since the heat intake doesnt match the cam specs so keep it if you decide to stroke it and pick up a street for now. H/c/i combos all have to work in harmony together on n/a motors to get the most out of it.

Go for it! You were telling me about that rocker hp gain a couple weeks ago, i think it's worth a shot. plus how hard is it to really change out some rockers when you're gonna have your intake off anyways.
