Alright so when im driving around town and stuff car runs fine. But when im in like third gear, and i go from 1/4 throttle to wide open the car will not accelerate. It goes to like 4k RPM's and just will not climb RPMS or MPH or anything. It almost like im hitting the rev limiter only it just stays at 4k. But if i ease into the gas then it seems to go ok and i dont have that problem.

Im thinking its a fuel problem, maybe regulater or pump?

I also replaced the fuel filter, plugs, wires about a year ago.

Here is a clip i found that is almost exactly the same thing my car does.

for starters id unplug the battery and let it sit unplugged for 5-10 minutes. then i would clean mass air flow. those are 2 very simple things to do to try and eliminate a few problems.

id take out the #1 spark plug and see what it looks like.

id check to make sure the spark plug wires are all on tight.

id also take out an O2 sensor and see what it looks like.

thats where id start. thats a very bizzare problem..

Its almost like that was running on 6 cyl, i wonder if its a spark issue? Check your plugs like said above and make sure everything is connected. C

well i found out my fuel pressure drops when accelerating and my pump whines really loud so i think its drawing too much amperage and not working correctly.

I replaced the FPR and still the same problem.

Only thing that gets me is when i pinch off the return line pressure spikes to 70 psi?

Volume also seems to be slow, at about a minute and a half to fill half a 20 oz soda bottle.

napa pumps are junk... thats the ONLY thing i wont buy from napa is their fuel pumps...

my friend worked at an at-home-delivery dairy here in denver (Royal crest, for those of you in colorado) and they would buy napa pumps in bulk, then just send back the bad ones....

he put in a napa pumps into his sister-in-laws blazer and now shes on pump #3 in 1 year... :) he hates doing the work, but she gives him some green... so.. he does it. lol.
