So I tucked my harness into the fenders, and when I went to start it up for the first time, I keep popping fuse 18 under the dash. I've unplugged just about every harness to try and isolate it, but nothing seems to be working.

My question is, the ground wires on the driver side, do they need to be grounded to the same bolt? I believe they were before I tucked, but I have them on separate ground points at the moment. Just want to get everyone's thoughts before I go back and lengthen the one ground to reach the other. 95GT wiring btw.

While I'm at it, I believe I have G203 & G204 on separate ground points as well under the dash. Do those need to be on a common ground?

I haven't been listening for it. I unplugged the fuel pump completely and the fuse still pops right away

the info I find on it for a 97 says it has to do with the generator warning lights and the EEC pwr relay coil. I can't find a schematic diagram though

Just in case anyone comes across this in the future as far as Fuse 18 goes...

It ended up being the harness for my HVAC controls, which doesn't even show on that circuit according to my wiring diagram. I don't run HVAC anyhow so it ended up not being a problem. But something to look at none the less if you have a stubborn Fuse 18 issue.

Also, the grounds being at separate points hasn't yet created an issue.
