How much do they run? Price wise?
around 500 bucks
and with a 5.0l you need a $300 chip.
Arizona Dyno Chip sells complete dyno tunes and a chip for around $500 or $550 last time I heard.
What kind of chip and for how much dyno time.
SCT chips. However much time it takes him to get the tune right. He's tuned Mustangs for a long ass time, so he usually doesn't take more than a couple hours. He did a better job on my old 418 than the mighty "Jerry" from fordchip.com could do. Keith rocks.
that a killer price
the price I quoted was DYNO TUNE WITH THE CHIP, I used www.waynesdyno.com in Jacksonville NC. He uses SNIPER software NOW but when he did my 98GT he used DIABLO chips.
Well that probably right but I had alot of problems the ignition on the dyno so it took awhile.
it depends on what your car has and who the tuner is. most charge more for a car with a power adder than a car that is n/a.
Just tryin to get a rough budget on how much this blower is gonna cost... Its just gettin more and more expensive... but you gotta pay to play right?
Where are you located?
Since your car is stock just put any kit on and it will work. Drive it and when you want more power then up grade.
i already bought my chip, any idea on how many ours it will take to get the dyno tune done?? guys out here says it shouldnt take any more then a couple hours, but i dont wanna go in there expecting to pay for 2 hours worth and it cost double what i expected....
That's the worst advice out of you yet.
no, like the vortech kit it comes as a kit for stock cars or bolt on cars and will work fine. Some people can't buy the kit and spend another $1500-$2000 on it.
He's not getting a normal kit.
Yeah... The kit may be a little special....
$300 - chip
$275 - MAF
$125 - One hour dyno time
$700 - Total
Last time I checked, a MAF isn't included in dyno time. Should we include bigger injectors then too? What about a fuel system? Bigger cylinder heads?
