So after i got my 97 gt and started pulling it apart i noticed a trend with my wiring..
Its terrible and all tap'd into for junk the previous owner had think he was a club owner with neons and strobe lights in this damn thing!
big issue right now is this aftermarket alarm system.
Anyone have some ideas of the best way to get rid of it?
i cant recall the brand off the top of my head, but im sure its one of those 40 dollar ones.
wires just straight up disapear behind the dash and i dont have my power probe in this state yet.
also it would be losing the unlock / lock key fob how hard is it to get a regular ford one to "sync" up

im just looking for ideas i cant find the brand of the alarm so no instructions from a manufacturer
im also stuck in the cat-box for another 2 months and wanted to see what you guys/gals ran into with this.

all you need to do is disconnect the power or ground from the alarm and its done. See if you can see a yellow wire with a fuse and pull the fuse if you can. Alot of the wiring for the alarm is in the drivers kick panel and it is common to hide it down there and just run the few ignition wires needed up to the colum. Pull out the kick and more then likely it will be back there. Pull the fuse, disconnect the gound or the hrns's and as long as its not a normally open starter kill thre should be no problems with it. If you pull it out and the car will not crank let me know and we will need to find the starter kill relay and change that.

My car had a viper alarm in it, I ended up re wiring all of the ignition wires under the dash, and eventually replacing the dash harness. What a pain. On top of that, the "shop" that put in the alarm and stereo broke everything they touched.
