I kno how to test it, jus waiting for the weather to clear up to be able to do it.
I was just wondering if there are any common drains with our cars?
I know on my last stang, i kept blowin fuses due to the dome light.

the drain is pretty quick. from a good solid full charge, im down to 4 volts after about a day and a half.
the battery is good, holds a charge no problem, load tests just fine.
it never did it before, and it just recently started to drain...
any help is well appreciated. :BangHead:

hook a volt meter to the batt. with it draining that fast you'll be able to see it on the meter. now start pulling fuses one at a time until it stops discharging.(if it doesn't change then put it back in). once you've found out what system let us know and we'll go from there.

no i dont have a system in my car. its just the factory mach 460 garbage.
i found out that it was fuse #8 which is interior illumination, dimmer, sound system etc.
so where do i go from here...?
what are some common spots for there to be a problem?
the draw is 0.15amps with the fuse in, and its around 0.03 without it.
THANKS

check for bare wires touching metal

im stupid when it comes to electrical, so im probably wrong on this, but would the fuse blow if a wire was touching metal?

I just finished taking off all of the panels everywhere along the dash. Havent looked over wires just yet because i ran out of daylight... Anywhere in particular where i can find a common short?

The head unit is all good, no problems, everything is soldered with shrink tube over it. I pretty confident it isnt the headunit.

A friend of mine had the same problem, same fuse too actually. We found out one of his mach 460 amps was bad. I'd go unplug them and see if it takes care of it or not, just in case.

OK, whole new problem now.... I'll be driving along, everything is fine and then all of a sudden my aftermarket headunit will stop working. It will shut off, but ill go over a bump again and it will come back on. I know its my ACC power that is cutting out somehow because the deck retains memory (ie. tilt setting, time, EQ settings). This seems relatively simple BUT, the strange thing is when my deck stops working my windows ALSO stop working... but as far as i know they are two different circuits... HELP ME OUT!!!!

Im going crazy here!!!!
